lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of the report which builds on 15 petitions regarding mortgage legislation in Spain and 21 petitions on risky financial instruments in Spain received by the Petitions Committee between 2011 and 2013. The resolution seeks to highlight poor consumer protection for mortgage borrowers and home owners in Spain. The report demands that Council Directive 93/13/EEC (the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Directive) be respected in Spain, following on from the European Court of Justice judgment in case C-415. It also seeks to establish better Europe-wide best practices in relation to mortgage lending and information provided to consumers, with a view to preventing banks from misleading consumers about the products they buy."@en1
