"Along with my colleagues in the European Parliamentary Labour Party, I voted in favour of this resolution, which builds on 15 petitions regarding mortgage legislation in Spain and 21 petitions on risky financial instruments in Spain received by Parliament’s Petitions Committee between 2011 and 2013. The petitions concerned poor consumer protection for mortgage borrowers and home owners in Spain, and this report demands that the EU Directive on Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts be respected there."@en1
