In this context it is vital to make concrete economic and investment commitments aimed at supporting the country’s transition to democracy. I welcome the fact that this Protocol opens up the possibility of Tunisia taking part in EU programmes and encourages the EU to make concrete economic and investment commitments aimed at supporting the country’s fragile transition to democracy, bearing in mind that the success of Tunisia is in the interests of the entire region and the EU."@en1
