lpv:spoken text	"The purpose of this file is to create a system of geographical indications for non-agricultural products, which are primarily issued from the rural areas. The main idea of the geographical identification is to create an EU wide label that would protect and underline and identify the special know-how and designate the quality, authenticity and characteristics of the product. It is argued that that such a system would foster growth, SME's growth, and maintain a link between the production and the territory it comes from as well as the itinerary of the productions. Several fields are identified, such as the relations between the EU and the third countries and it underlines the fact that a geographical identification system could protect the local producers vis a vis the international competition. Moreover, it should also be noted that fifteen member states already have this system and that it is judged as primarily positive. It was for these reasons that I voted in favour of this resolution."@en1
