We are not hearing much about what is happening to establish peace on the ground, and to actually deal with some of the other underlying issues – questions about democracy and questions about how we are tackling climate change in the region, which is certainly a contributory factor to the instability. Indeed, as was pointed out earlier, we are not really looking at how to have a consistent policy towards governments which actually oppress – and are even bombing – their own people."@en1
