This report highlights how far we still have to go to end gender-related barriers in science and academia. It makes a number of very important recommendations which will ensure that women are able to play their full role in science, research and higher education. We are facing a skills shortfall, especially in science, technology, engineering and mathematics; something we can avoid if we act now and give women more freedom to pursue their careers."@en1
