"I voted in favour to review the Commissioner hearing process in order to analyse where improvements could be made on procedures and practices regarding these hearings. Public hearings are vital in order to assess the Commissioner designates on their general competences, European commitment and personal independence. Along with ALDE, I have always called for a gender balanced Commission and feel particularly positive on the proposal that asks Member States from now on to put forward at least two candidates, one female and one male for consideration by the Commissioner President elect."@en1
