lpv:spoken text	"Mr President, I voted in favour of the report, because resource efficiency offers an opportunity for the European Union to get more for less. Through better use of our raw materials and energy, we can reduce our carbon footprint and lower our consumption of finite resources. By developing more durable and reparable products, we can have goods that have a longer lifespan and end planned obsolescence. By improving the design of products, we can make our recycling more efficient, thereby reducing waste in landfills. At the same time, we will be strengthening our economy and creating the millions of decent jobs that we urgently need in regions like my own. Resource efficiency is a chance we simply cannot afford to miss, and today’s report is an important step towards creating an effective policy framework to deliver it."@en1
