lpv:spoken text	"Mr President, tax evasion and avoidance is probably something that is in every country and not only developing countries; it happens within the European Union as well. Certainly, where developing countries are concerned, it is one thing to give development aid, but we must also help them to get proper tax systems within their countries. It is estimated that the developing countries lost about EUR 5.5 billion between 2003 and 2012 because of tax evasion and avoidance, and obviously this is not a good situation for anybody. It is not fair and they cannot develop as a result of it. If they could cut out evasion and avoidance and plug the loopholes, then I think a lot of progress could be made. The point made by my colleague, Ms Macovei, regarding tax havens is very relevant too."@en1
