lpv:spoken text	"Mr President, this report on tapping into the job creation potential of the green economy is a most worthwhile contribution to the debate, and in particular I support Jean Lambert’s stance on investing in energy efficiency. As an employment tool, it can certainly promote local job creation and local economic development. Energy poverty affects 125 million people at European level, and investing in energy- efficient homes achieves a quadruple win. It helps alleviate energy poverty. It helps to create new jobs. It ensures a significant reduction in dependence on the use of fossil fuels and in particular on imported fossil fuels, and crucially it helps to reduce CO2 emissions and fight climate change."@en1
