"This is more than ever a critical time for the people of Greece. The sacrifices made and hardships endured by so many Greeks have been unjustifiable and must not have been made for nothing. Yet another strong democratic message has been sent by Greek citizens in support of their key demand to end unfair austerity measures. The British Labour movement stands in solidarity with Greece, and I congratulate my colleagues in Westminster, including eight London Labour Members of Parliament, who have this week signed an Early Day Motion in support of Greece. The European Union and its institutions must stop the blame game and find a solution that includes reasonable assistance terms and restructuring of Greek debt."@en1
