lpv:spoken text	"Mr President, the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs (EMPL) wanted to have a particular emphasis in the budget on job creation measures, jobs and growth strategy, which we all support, and the three E’s: enterprise, employment and entrepreneurship. How are we going to do that? Supporting SMEs is where we would like to see a focus, because SMEs are the backbone of all our economies, being 90% of businesses across Europe. Particularly, the area of microfinance is something that can really be established to support SMEs because governments, commissions, councils do not actually create jobs, but they certainly can contribute to creating the environment within which jobs can flourish. Of course, within the employment area, youth unemployment is a very serious issue. We are continuing with this debate here, and we want to see a strong focus on this in the budget opinion of this Parliament, and also, indeed, on the need to re-skill, particularly in fields where job seekers can benefit, like the IT sector and retrofitting of buildings. There is huge potential there, and the EMPL Committee wants to see a strong focus in these areas in the opinion."@en1
