lpv:spoken text	"The Report’s welcome emphasis on measures intended to increase the market orientation of fruit and vegetable growers is important. There is also a strong focus on research and innovation in POs to boost product value. Conservative MEPs have always called for POs to be given the flexibility to adapt their Operational Programmes to suit their level of maturity, and to target their funds on a broader range of measures aimed at increasing the sector’s competitiveness. To be attractive, we need a scheme that is more effective and more adaptive to market conditions. The Report’s concentration on these measures is highly relevant to the sustainable growth of the fruit and vegetable sector. They represent more achievable aims for the PO Scheme and would give fruit and vegetable growers a better chance of adapting to market volatility."@en1
