"I voted in favour of the report as it demonstrates our solidarity with dairy farmers affected by the global slump in milk prices. While we support measures aimed at reducing market inequalities in food supply chains, Labour MEPs are calling for government action to strengthen the powers of the Groceries Code Adjudicator to defend farmers’ interests against supermarkets driving down farm-gate prices, and for greater consumer action."@en1
