lpv:spoken text	"Madam President, I believe that TTIP will be damaging to the interests of my constituents in Wales, and that is why I take this opportunity to voice my opposition to it. I am grateful to the many thousands of constituents who have contacted me with their concerns that TTIP threatens our public services and health care, our jobs, environmental and food standards, small businesses and – an issue which is vital for Wales – minority languages and cultures. I am opposed to ISTS, or any similar process under another name, which gives foreign investors rights to take legal action against elected governments, rights which are not granted to anyone else. TTIP is about power and profit; it is not about people. We need a real and open debate about what kind of trade deal we want, a trade deal that will benefit – not threaten – our democracy, standards and values."@en1
