lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of the report on the European energy security strategy. In particular, I voted for Amendments 6 and 1. Amendment 6 asks Member States not to proceed with fracking. Unfortunately Amendment 6 was not carried, but Amendment 1 was, and this asks Member States not to authorise any new fracking operations, either exploration or extraction, until the technology is proven safe for the environment and for workers. Parliament also supported the statement that we consider fracking entails risks and negative consequences for the climate, environment and public health. Unexpectedly the whole report was rejected by the Parliament, and these really useful amendments on fracking now no longer stand."@en1
