However, it is the conflict in Ukraine that has caused the crisis in relations. Unfortunately, this report is blatantly one-sided and fails to acknowledge that Russia, along with the EU and the US, has exacerbated this conflict. The report also reveals sickening double standards in EU external policy. International law and human rights are mentioned 26 times collectively in eight pages of text. The report says cooperation should adhere fully to international human rights standards. I agree. But while the EU imposes sanctions on Russia, it has allowed Israel to violate international and human rights law with impunity for more than two decades. When it comes to diplomacy, it certainly seems that the EU saves the carrot for Israel and the stick for Russia."@en1
