lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of the report, since because Iceland is not an EU Member State, the terms of joint fulfilment concerning its participation had to be laid down in a separate international agreement. The proposed Council Decision provides the basis for the conclusion of the Agreement between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and Iceland, of the other part, concerning Iceland’s participation in the joint fulfilment of commitments for the Kyoto Protocol to the UNFCCC. Finally the ratification decision on the conclusion of the Doha Amendment to the Kyoto Protocol and the joint fulfilment of the commitments by the European Union will send a strong signal about the efforts and the leadership of the EU and its Member States to address climate change at international level, therefore rendering the consent of the European Parliament to this agreement necessary."@en1
