lpv:spoken text	"Madam President, almost a year ago I was in this Chamber for the first time as a new MEP when I heard Members demanding sanctions against Russia, and even some Members saying that the EU should declare war on Russia. I was told not to worry as the EU does not have these desires and does not have an EU army. But, under the guise of this policy of implementing a common security and defence policy, today this Chamber voted on financing for an EU army, they voted on financing EU military research, it voted on tax incentives for companies providing finance and support for EU defence, and it also voted for the ability for the EU to initiate its own drone killings. Today this Chamber has turned the EU into a dark and dangerous place. That is why I voted against it, because I do not believe the EU should have the power to wage war on other countries."@en1
