lpv:spoken text	"Although I support the principle behind the EPPO, which would deal with preventing crimes against the financial interest of the Union, tackling fraud of the EU budget and protecting tax payers' money, I abstained on the Macovei report because I believe the EPPO will not be able to successfully carry out this crucial tasks in the absence of unanimity in the Council. Moreover, the absence of Council unanimity means an enhanced cooperation procedure would take place which is outside the ambit of the treaties. As a result, the European Parliament would not have a say on the final text, only being able to give its consent. Finally, I am concerned the absence of a plan to establish a clear modus vivendi between the EPPO, Eurojust and OLAF would be counterproductive."@en1
