"I am pleased to support this report. The responsibilities and duties of the European Parliament have increased in recent times; however, the budget has been only moderately increased compared to expenditures in 2015. Additional personnel and infrastructure is needed as more tasks are being completed with fewer resources, and an increased budget for parliamentary assistance strengthens the independence of MEPs."@en1
