"Mr President, I would like to thank the rapporteur, Mr Czarnecki, for taking on board most of my suggestions in regard to the four agencies under our remit in the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs, namely: Cedefop, Eurofound, the European Training Foundation and EU-OSHA.
While there are still some minor issues with regard to prevention and management of conflicts of interest, good progress has been made. In regard to internal audits, all recommendations that have been taken on board are either completed or on track. Good progress is also being made with regard to the implementation of the Commission’s approach on EU decentralised agencies and the related roadmap, which should help foster the performance culture referred to by Mr Caldeira.
Finally, I want to highlight the fact that the Court of Auditors report showed a slight decrease for estimated error rate in the area of employment and social affairs, down from 3.2% in 2012 to 3.1% in 2013, which is the second lowest among all policy areas. However, it is important to say that we expect these improvements to continue."@en1
