lpv:spoken text	"I supported this resolution as an increasing number of Member States and National Parliaments are this year recognising the centenary of the tragic events that took place against the Armenians in the territory of the Ottoman Empire. I believe it is appropriate to pay tribute to the memory of the one and a half million innocent Armenian victims who perished in the Ottoman Empire. The importance of remembering such tragic events of the past is paramount to the future, as there can be no reconciliation without the truth of remembrance. I would also like to pledge my support for the establishment of an International Remembrance Day for Genocides to recall once again the right of people and nations throughout the world to peace and dignity."@en1
