In 1915, one-and-a-half million innocent Armenian victims perished in the south-east part of the Ottoman Empire, what is today Turkey. However, Parliament does recognise the current government’s efforts to improve its attitudes towards the Armenian minority still present in Turkey today. Furthermore, there is room for greater mutual understanding which can be achieved through cooperation between Armenia and Turkey."@en1
