The Committee, by advising both the Council and Commission, aims to ensure coordination of the employment situation and policies of Member States by enhancing the consistency and effectiveness of such policies with a coordinated strategy with a particular focus on the promotion of a skilled, trained and adaptable workforce. It is also important to note the Committee’s role in the framework of the European Semester."@en1
