lpv:spoken text	"I supported this report to establish the Social Protection Committee to advise and promote cooperation on social protection policies between Member States and with the Commission. It has demonstrated its utility as an advisory body for both the Council and Commission in the past and will continue to do so by monitoring the social situation and development of social protection policies in Member States and by promoting exchanges of information and good practice between Member States and with the Commission. In particular I support the notion that the social dimension of the EMU should be strengthened by ensuring better coordination of employment and social polices and the use of social and employment indicators."@en1
