In the past the Commission has reported annually on progress as regards single market objectives as part of the Annual Growth Survey. For 2014, however, this was omitted. The report is critical of this approach, and indeed notes that it strengthens the case for a more formal consideration of the single market pillar within the European Semester, as previously called for by Parliament. I can support this position and the conclusions drawn in this report, which are broadly pro-growth and anti-red-tape in nature"@en1
