lpv:spoken text	"The report which will be discussed and adopted on Monday evening in committee will recommend waiving the immunity of Theodoros Zagorakis, who has been accused of bodily harm and infringement of his obligations as an employer by endangering the health and safety of staff by failing to make sure equipment was suitable for use. It specifically concerns allegations that handrails were not fitted to a metal ladder, which resulted in a fall and two arm fractures of an employee. Since the alleged offences do not have a direct or obvious connection with his performance of his duties as a MEP, nor constitute an opinion expressed or a vote cast in the performance of his duties as a Member of the European Parliament for the purposes of Article 8 of Protocol No 7 on the Privileges and Immunities of the EU, the ECR will support the recommendation in the report to waive his immunity."@en1
