"Mr President, it is a pity that we did not have a roll-call vote for the final vote here, so that it could be on the record that the vast majority of Members in this House condemn without reservation the activities of Islamic State. This is one of the most brutal movements, if we can call it that, that the world has ever seen. Certainly in the modern era, when so many countries have moved forward in trying to respect human rights, to see some of the activities of this Islamic State, in terms of beheadings, the treatment of women and their use as gifts for soldiers, forced marriages etc., it is so out of date that we have to condemn it without reservation – and, indeed, use all the methods we can to ensure that this type of activity is written out of history."@en1
