lpv:spoken text	"I voted alongside my S&D colleagues to support the resolution on freedom of expression in Turkey. The resolution focuses on recent arrests of journalists and media executives and systematic pressure against the media in December 2014. These actions call into question respect for the rule of law and freedom of the media, which is a core principle of democracy. Turkey should work on reforms to guarantee freedom of thought, of expression and of the media, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights. At a time when freedom of expression is under threat everywhere, the motion underlines the importance of press freedom and respect for democratic values in terms of the EU enlargement process."@en1
