"In the votes on the seven group motions on the Commission work programme the ECR only voted for its own text.
The ECR motion offered a detailed and comprehensive assessment of the 2015 work programme. The motion gave a cautious welcome overall to the general approach taken by the Commission in focusing on the economy and seeking reductions of the legislative and bureaucratic burden on businesses and individuals. But the motion also highlighted areas of serious concern and emphasised the Group’s priorities on competitiveness and on respecting the principles of subsidiarity and proportionality. The motion covered all the issues raised in the work programme in detailed and precise language as a result of thorough collective discussion.
For these reasons, the ECR did not vote for any parts of any other Group motions, even when the Group was sympathetic to some of the content, as the ECR stands by the carefully considered collective positions taken in its own piece of work."@en1
