lpv:spoken text	"Today I voted in support of the report on the activities of the European Ombudsman 2013. The European Ombudsman, Emily O’Reilly, was elected by the European Parliament on 3 July 2013 and took her oath before the Court of Justice of the European Union on 30 September. The Ombudsman’s Annual Report 2013 therefore covers partly the work of the Ombudsman’s Office under her leadership and the other part consists of the work of her predecessor Nikiforos Diamandouros. The Ombudsman’s strategy ‘Towards 2019’ is founded on three main concepts: impact, relevance and visibility. In addition, observing the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership negotiations closely would strengthen the role of the Ombudsman as ‘guardian of EU transparency’."@en1
