"My Labour colleagues and I supported strong measures to allow Member States to ban the cultivation of GMOs on their territory. This vote also means that Member States which choose to cultivate GMOs must introduce coexistence measures for border areas, so that states which do not wish to have GMOs on their territory are protected from those who do."@en1
