lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of renewing the Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the EU and the Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe because I believe that establishing sustainable fisheries policies in Sao Toméan fishing zones is in all our interests. I welcome the fact that, through the newly negotiated protocol, more reliable data on catches and the conservation status of fishery resources will be made available to the São Toméan authorities, enabling them to scale up the fight against illegal fishing. I urge the Commission to investigate carefully concerns regarding by-catch of sharks or other endangered species under the protocol, and to take the necessary steps immediately to address this problem if it occurs."@en1
