"I voted against Palestinian Statehood as recognising a Palestinian State is not within the competence of this Parliament. On 3rd October the EU Commission wrote to my UKIP colleague James Carver MEP to explain that the EU can not recognise Somaliland or any other State and that this was the privilidge of the various individual nation States. Therefore this so called recognition of Palestine is Ultra vires and illegitimate. The President of the Parliament should have ruled against this motion as the Commision has admitted in writing that it was Ultra Vires.Recognition of Palestine or otherwise should be left to Nation States and the United Nations.If Pontus Pilate could not solve the Middle eastern situation with threats of crucifixion and galleys how can this pathetic eunuch of a Parliament, which made such a mess of the Ukraine crisis, ever hope to solve this situation. The EU should sort out the catastrophic Euro crisis it has created rather than try to destroy other nations."@en1
