"I voted against this motion. Mr Juncker still has questions to answer, both about his own conduct in the past and on how he will bring forward and enact proposals to crack down on tax avoidance across Europe. People are angry that legal loopholes and a lack of cooperation between European countries mean that some are not paying their fair share in tax. We need urgent action. This resolution however does nothing to tackle tax avoidance. It merely represents the hypocrisy of the Members who initiated it, as they have voted against tax transparency measures in the past."@en1
