"I welcome the recommendation of the European Central Bank to amend Regulation (EC) No 2533/1998 with a view to taking into account the ECB’s new supervisory tasks under Regulation (EU) No 1024/2013 conferring specific tasks on the European Central Bank concerning policies relating to the prudential supervision of credit institutions (SSM Regulation). The ECB will take up its full supervisory tasks in accordance with the latter Regulation on 4 November 2014."@en1
