Every single employee should have the same high level of protection, regardless of who their employer is. If an employer cannot operate without risking the lives and health of their workers, they should not be in business. As Unite the Union has made clear, it is only unscrupulous and incompetent employers who fear consistent and fair regulation of health and safety. We need increased and better health and safety legislation from the European Union, not just strategic frameworks. UCATT, the Construction Union, North West Branch has been focusing on stress at work and I call upon the Commission to legislate on this area."@en1
