"I applaud the work done by the various aid agencies and brave doctors and nurses from the United Kingdom and around the world, who have risked their lives to combat the Ebola virus. I believe that international help and support must be given to prevent the spread of this virus. However, as a UKIP MEP my view is that this is best co-ordinated through the World Health Organisation, the United Nations and the individual nation states themselves. The European Union is not well placed to take action."@en1
