"Mr President, I rise on a point of order, under Rule 11(2) which refers to Members’ conduct being characterised by mutual respect, based on the values and principles laid down in the basic texts of the European Union. We heard from Mr Janusz Korwin-Mikke in the previous debate language which is deeply unacceptable in this Chamber. We heard racist language and I believe that a number of Members have intimated to us that this is not the way that this mandate should begin. I want to intimate to this Chamber that appropriate action should be taken by Parliament’s services. Cécile Kyenge, the Member next to me, has made the same remarks as myself and she may want to add to what I have said."@en1
