lpv:spoken text	"Madam President, I want to raise on the floor of this House the excellent work of Traidcraft in effectively challenging European supermarket power by highlighting the negative impact that certain supply chains can have on the poorest farmers across the world. We know that there are great benefits from fair trade. However, there are still too many unfair commercial practices which have to be exposed and tackled. Therefore I call on the European Commission, and in particular the new set of commissioners, to take urgent action to address these vitally important issues. I have had dozens of constituent inquiries: these issues matter to European citizens. After all, the test of our progress in this House will not be that we helped those who already have much but that we helped those that have so little in this world."@en1
