"I voted in favour of these proposals because plastic bags are incredibly damaging to the environment and should be discouraged. It is also an EU-wide issue; because they take so long to decompose waste bags can cross borders and enter water systems. Therefore to keep Scottish beaches clean and marine animals safe, I welcome these proposals."@en1
