lpv:spoken text	"The first fisheries agreement between the EU and Madagascar dates back to 1986. This two-year agreement was signed in December 2012 and is due to expire at the end of this year. The UK has three vessels active under the existing protocol although Spain and France are the main beneficiaries. Italy and Portugal also have a small interest. The UK is generally supportive of this proposal, particularly if measures requested by Madagascar to minimise the level of sharks catches taken under the previous protocol are included. I endorse this position, and voted in favour of the report."@en1
