These proposals will toughen up the rules on food inspections and will impose strict penalties for those involved in food fraud. Making sure rules are tight on animal welfare is crucial to protect consumers. As Vice-President of the intergroup of animal welfare, I believe it also ensures that basic animal welfare provisions are universally upheld."@en1
