lpv:spoken text	"Since the beginning of the financial crisis a process which gives hope to reducing the impact of any such similar crises has been sought and has now been achieved. Given the size of the EU market in financial services and in particular the banking sphere, the efforts made by the institutions at an EU level are vastly more important than any loose arrangements at a national level. I have my own opinion of the total impact on avoiding a financial crisis of the future, most notably that it will not be of the same variety as the last. However, it is vital that a line is drawn in the sand and that trust is allowed to return to the public in the financial services system. It has been my pleasure to have worked alongside colleagues across all the institutions in achieving both a supervisory system and a ‘banking union’ which will have an historical effect."@en1
