Therefore an efficient use of the radio spectrum is essential. Furthermore the introduction of the common charger will simplify the use of radio equipment as well as be highly beneficial to consumers. Each year, incredibly the EU throws away 6[nbsp ]000 tonnes of mobile phone rechargers. Therefore I voted in favour of this report because not only is it a success for the single market and consumers but for cutting waste and for protecting the environment too."@en1
