I support the general objective to help ensure a high level of security in the European Union through preventing and combating cross-border and organised crime including terrorism, and improving coordination and cooperation between law enforcement authorities of Member States and other countries, as well as managing security-related risks and crisis, and preparing against terrorist attacks and other security related incidents. However, I did not agree with the way in which the budget was allocated. This is an important issue in light of the calls for the devolution of policing to Wales."@en1
