A strengthened EIA Directive will bring numerous benefits to the environment, human health and the economy. I am pleased that the measures included in this report mean that procedures will be simplified and the new law will increase transparency for local residents and communities. It is important that we continue to work to ensure that the health of citizens and the local environment are always prioritised."@en1
