With the significant growth of Internet sales in recent years, the old Package Travel Directive needed updating and the reforms voted for in this report will bring better protection for customers and a higher degree of certainty for travel businesses regarding the extent of their potential liabilities. Establishing a level playing field between operators and removing obstacles to cross-border trade is also covered in this report. I am pleased that the liability and insolvency issues in this report were supported."@en1
