The alternative text clearly sets out those areas where EU countries must cooperate to break the illegal sex trade. It also highlights the total unacceptability of forced prostitution and child prostitution. Nevertheless, enforcement of laws relating to the sex trade is a Member State competence and it is not appropriate for this House to seek to issue decrees in this matter."@en1
